Well if you hadn’t noticed yet, our website has been completely overhauled and re-launched by FirstTracks Marketing Group. Our new site features a number of excellent improvements that you should know about to make your browsing experience more useful and productive.
Why is this new site better?
In one simple word…connectivity. The previous version of the Depot Square website did not make it easy for us to integrate our current main social media outlets in Facebook and Twitter, nor did it allow us to quickly and easily publish new content and keep everything with the site up-to-date. That has all changed now. You can expect to see quite a different Depot Square online in the coming weeks, months and years.
Now we will aim to pull in news, events, ideas, and shop details and specials from the entire downtown Peterborough area. This will be THE PLACE to get all your up-to- date information for current events, shopping specials, dining deals, news and more. Plus, we have integrated “single-click-sharing” tools into all of our website content, so you can share, post and invite your friends about anything happening in town. We realize the web is all about being connected, quick and simple these days, and we felt it was time we made the leap and got the town of Peterborough on board!
What are some of the cool features I should check out first?
There are a lot of things we could list here, but we wanted to focus in on a few key items that will help make your browsing experience with us most useful:
- Global Site Search: Don’t know what you want, just pop the term into the search box at the top of the screen and it will find it for you.
- Events Calendar: All new calendar system that is easier to read and navigate.
- Social Media Sharing Tools: Check-out the icons at the bottom of all our listings and blog posts, you’ll see what we mean
- Leave a store review: Want to tell people about your shopping and dining experience? Visit the site, find the shop listing, and leave your own review right on their page!
- Shop Rating System: You will see a line of stars right above the review section for each shop. This is how you can rate the shop and share your opinion with the region and beyond.
- All new blog: This is where you will find the latest regular content in the form of special event highlights, regional news, and information and tips for all occasions.
