Woke up this morning to the first north wind in quite a while here in Peterborough. A crisp 40 degrees. I heard it snowed last night in the White Mountains! Though we’re not quite ready for the driving snow and whipping winds of winter we are gearing up for one of our favorite seasons here in the Monadnock Region. Fall is a magic time around here. Cool nights, incredible colors and and a great reason to spend a weekend in Peterborough. While you’re here make sure to visit us here in Depot Square. The Waterhouse Restaurant opened this summer and their menu is fresh and different form the everyday fare at most restaurants. Their patio will still be open for dining as we can get some warm evenings this time of year.
Depot Square’s newest shop is New England Everyday Goods. This is one special shop that’s full of unique items that are all made right here in New England. It’s large roomy store is just a pleasure. Stop by and say hello.
The Toadstool Bookstore is one of the great bookstores of the region and this month there are fantastic authors signing and discussing their books. Here’s the latest schedule.
Still warm enough to sit by the river and enjoy the gardens of Depot Square. Grab a sandwich at 12 Pine and relax. Winter won’t be here for awhile!
